A large OPMs contingent contributed to a good atmosphere on the sidelines and the match itself was pretty competitive. Argaum were very much in the game at half-time trailing only 12-0 despite losing influential centre Kev Hopper with a suspected broken arm.
Argaum were very unlucky not to score in the second half applying huge amounts of pressure to the visitors line but OPMs always had a bit more pace in the backs, particularly dangerous on the counter-attack. They ran in 5 tries in total of which 3 were converted to collect the Boxing Day trophy. A disco was held in the packed clubhouse and the partying went on long into the evening. It can only be hoped that next year's fixture is as well attended but this time with a home victory.
