After some early defensive duties it was Argaum who opened the scoring with a fine run by George Glover who touched down under the posts for Hayden Baugh to convert. The Cornish All Blacks came back with a try of their own to level the scores at half time.

The second half was very close although the Tigers momentum was disrupted by a high penalty count which was frustrating for the coaches and supporters alike. This enabled Launceston to gain good territory and despite some good last ditch tackling they crossed for two late tries, one of which was converted. A good game between two well-matched teams.
