Plymouth Argaum on the re-build

Plymouth Argaum Wanderers started the club re-build with a convincing win over local rivals, DHSOB Wizards. With two early tries from new scrum half Bret Williams and fly half Darren Wills, Argaum looked promising from the start.

DHS responded with a penalty and some strong pressure though good forward play. DHS captain Darren Rosevear inspired his side to keep the pressure on however a breakaway try from Darren Revel increased the Argaum lead. DHS hit back again with a try from Mark Turner after more forward pressure. Argaum started to dominate at the scrum and went into half time 28 – 8 ahead.

After the break DHS got another try from Mark Turner which was converted. Argaum then re-jigged their scrum and were now  totally dominant at the scrum and breakdown. More tries followed from Joe Booth, Mark Miller, Darren Revel and Bret Williams. All of which apart from one were converted by Aaron Hart.

Argaum would also like to thank all the DHSOB Wizards players for a good natured, entertaining game and wish a speedy recovery to their injured men, especially the chap who broke his leg. Plymouth Argaum will continue to re-build for the remainder of the season, and look forward to improving their game under coach Howell Phillips.
