If you have wandered up to the pitches recently you may well have noticed the improvements being made to the path leading up to the pitch. With the aid of our recent Lottery Funding the club has been able to hire contractors PJ Kingwell to make a level trackway with hardcore which will enable much better access for anyone using the pitches. The most pressing requirement for the path was to ensure that vehicles, in particular an ambulance, can safely access the pitch during the winter months, when the path can get quite boggy. Secondly it will provide a safer route for players and spectators of all ages, pram-pushers will be especially pleased. In addition the track will benefit other users within the community such as Dog Agility, Equestrian and other community events such as the annual Its-A-Knockout. The track terminates in a T-shape by the equipment hut which allows vehicles to turn easily.
