Argaum got themselves off to a bad opening 10 minutes with DHSOB scoring the opening try, however after some good solid work from the pack and decent free flowing passing Argaum managed to make some good metres (such as the hand offs from Kevin Anderson!) which boosted the team and you could tell they were up for it! Also Ciaran Bennett ran in a try under the post after battling off a few DHSOB players.
The first half was a free flowing game with some good runs and hard tackling, the pack working well and Sam Russell's hard work meant that Argaum finished the first half 5 – 10 down.
The second half was fast, aggressive and was great to watch. Argaum strengthened their lead and with a few substitutions made to the team meant that they went over the try line another 5 times thanks to Ciaran, Dan James, Ieuan Evans, Ben Glanfield and Jake Turfrey who also added 2 conversions to the score.
The final score was 18 – 34. Plymouth Argaum clearly have built upon the hard work in training and it shows on the pitch. Argaum's young side is gelling well with the likes of more experienced players such as Stu Quaterman and Gary Michaels which can only help the squad improve.
Plymouth Argaum play again on Wednesday 25th January against 29 Commando's rugby team for The John Stevens Trophy and also on Saturday 28th with a league home fixture to Old Technicians.
