Plymouth Argaum Tigers U13s v  Ivybridge (4/12/05)

Plymouth Argaum Tigers were keen to put up an impressive performance against Ivybridge on Sunday 4 December at Bickleigh Down.  Inspired by their captain, William Cox, the home team went into the lead after an exciting 10 minutes, when a good break by Jonny Jenkins resulted in an excellent try by Connor Gallagher, effortlessly converted by Rhys Dimmock-Williams.

This very physical match continued at a fast pace with both teams determined to win every loose ball. Ivybridge, well drilled in every respect, scored the next try through Dan Tucker, increasing the excitement further, only for Connor Gallagher to score his 2nd well deserved try for Argaum soon afterwards.  Daniel James in particular fought hard for the Tigers to regain possession.

After the break Ivybridge came back even stronger, with Henry Slade scoring their 2nd try after only a few minutes.  Argaum, under pressure for the rest of the match, defended well, especially in the last few nail biting minutes when Ivybridge battled right on the edge of the Argaum try line. An exciting match, with full credit to Argaum for maintaining the early lead.

Final Score: Plymouth Argaum 14pts Ivybridge 10
