Two well-matched packs monopolised most of a rather scrappy game at Cross. Argaum, hard hit by injuries, managed to win by two tries to nil, but failed to exploit to the full their " outside " supremacy. Scrum-half Daly crossed from the blind side of a scrummage during the first half, and Douglas followed up a diagonal kick to add a second try. Baker led the winners' pack well, and Palmer was cool at full-back. Horsham distinguished himself In the home eight.
