The speed and dash of their " threes" paved the way for Argaum's victory at Roborough by a goal and five tries to one try. Launceston dominated the lineout during the first half, and after Pooley's opening try levelled the score through Hitchins. The Cornish club's defence fell away when Magill cut through the centre to score and convert, and further tries were added by Sugden (2), Dunne, and Griffiths. Argaum's pack decisive.
