Argaum's failure to get possession from the set scrums limited their scoring chances, but after a loose rush Rhodes went over for a try to give them an interval lead. Falmouth's attacking movements were left unfinished because of poor handling, but they enjoyed a fair share of the game, and deserved to equalise through Coombes, who kicked a penalty goal from an awkward angle.
