However all credit must go to the 10 and a half (Simon Lemon turned up part way through the second half) Argaum players who made the trip to North Tawton and stuck to the task in hand to the bitter end, though 80 minutes of missed tackles and walks between the try and half-way lines is never fun! A consolation try for Argaum stand-off Andy Rees proving he can still make it by just about managing to keep up with the front row and take a pass from Steve Covel just a couple of yards short of the line was the end result of a movement on the river side of the pitch which involved most of the Argaum contingent. Talking of the river, a quick mention must go to Toby Liberson who while retrieving a lost ball managed to find time for a quick spot of white water rafting, 10/10 for keeping the boys amused. Many thanks to North Tawton players George, Piggy and Andy who put on Argaum shirts for the afternoon and became part of our biggest defeat this season - it's not always this bad, honest. (AR)
