Boxing Day 2003
The Annual Boxing Day Match was once again a success in terms of attendance after a couple of dissapointing seasons.
AFTER trailing to a Nicky Dunne try after a couple of minutes play the Chiefs closed the score with a Steve Tomlinson penalty in a competitive first half at Roborough.
BOTH sides said how well young referee Richard Harding had controlled the game.
Argaum's tries came from Paul Venkort (2), Mike Louise and Richard Browning, conversions by Steve Tomlinson.
OPMs' tries came from Matt Turner and Tom Pearson, and there was also a penalty and conversion by Giles Phillips.
IN this bottom of the table clash the result was always going to be hard fought. And so it proved.
