Chiefs 29 Plympton Victoria 13
Plymouth Argaum secured their first league win this decade with a good all round display against Plympton Victoria at Bickleigh Down this afternoon. Their last league win was against the same opponents almost two years ago and a bonus point 5 try haul lifted the Chiefs up a place in Tribute Devon Two into the bargain.

Brave Argaum Go Down Fighting
Plymouth Argaum gave a good account of themselves in the Pedrick Cup Final last night before eventually sucumbing in the second half to Plympton Victoria. With the score even at the break, it looked like Argaum may be able to pull off a shock, however it was the more experienced Plympton unit who eventually prevailed. There were signs of promise for next season though, and the boys could be proud of their effort.

PLYMOUTH Argaum's relentless pursuit of a play-off spot continued with a hard-fought victory over bottom outfit Plympton Victoria at Marsh Mills. Argaum captain Josh Theophanides opened the game with a deft break which allowed veteran winger Darren Wills to go over for his first try of the match.
Plymouth Argaum 24 Plym Vic 22
This was Argaum's first league win for almost 2 years and was thoroughly deserved in front of a passionate Bickleigh Down Crowd. The Chiefs fought back after being 15 points down at one stage to secure the win in the last 5 minutes.

(January 6th 2001, k.o. 14:30 Elburton)
On the Twelfth Day Of Christmas both teams struggled to get over the indulgences of the Festive period but nevertheless produced an entertaining encounter at Elburton. Much credit must go to the referee for keeping the game flowing, while both teams played in the right spirit.

Three new faces made their argaum debut; Steve Covel (hooker), Terry Saliba and Dan Storer (wingers) and a few faces who we haven't seen all summer (Dave Parmenter, Kevin Quigley and Phil Hall) started off the season in a game which didn't go quite to plan but did show promise for the coming months (Plym Vic put more than 80 points past us on their last visit to Bickleigh Down!).
