Argaum's perennial problem of lack of numbers at training nights was reflected not in individual performance with all players showing total committment to the cause but in the combined effort.

It was a case of fourth time lucky for the Chiefs as they finally overcame their fellow Division 2 opponents in this RNEC Cup semi-final. All three previous meetings have been close but ill-discipline had cost Argaum dear on each occasion, but this time, on a mudbath of pitch, Argaum's nerve held.
